From your Board President

On behalf of the Meadows Board, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their patience and understanding during these trying construction times. Currently we are on schedule for a tentative completion date in January. So far, I believe our staff and contractor have done a great job of keeping inconveniences to a minimum. Yes, the sprinkler lines were hit during the install of our new gas grill lines, but they have been repaired and greener grass should be on the horizon. We will be bringing in some fresh sand for the volleyball court and a new(used) tent to improve our temporary outdoor tennis lounge, where we can continue to socialize and spectate.

I’d like to give a special shout out to your leadership team (Bob, Mike, Anne Marie and Brian specifically). They have all been uprooted from their offices and have been working tirelessly, going above and beyond to ensure the club remains a safe and enjoyable facility during this dusty, messy tear down phase. It has been refreshing to hear from the contractor and workers how polite, friendly, and cooperative the membership (and your kids) have been. So thank you, and thanks to your children as well.

It is a privilege to be part of a cohesive board that remains unified and committed to making our club one we can all be proud of for years to come. This team is dedicated to fulfilling the vision and plan of our membership and previous boards, inching closer to completion of the master plan that was established decades ago, and still makes sense today. Thanks to all of those who have served on prior boards, committees, and been active in the process of making our club and our membership base 2nd to none in Colorado.

There are still hurdles and challenges that lie ahead, so we ask for your continued patience and support. The Meadows remains special because of the members who make up our community and heritage. I hope to see many of you who may be in town this Monday, as we celebrate Independence Day together with some traditional Meadows fun.

Sincerely, Don and your BOD.
