No public participation

February 17, 2009 meeting minutes amended and approved

Audrey Irwin has resigned from the Board of Directors effective immediately.  The Board would

like to thank Audrey for her terrific work these past 2˝ years, it is truly appreciated.  Richard

asked the board to consider Kirk Jamison to fill the vacant position for the remainder of

Audrey’s term (October 2009).  Motion was made, seconded and approved

Facilities Report:

Platform court location continues to be of concern to some members, but as it was approved

last summer in the club vote, the board feels strongly about placing the courts as soon as

possible.  Court height will be 26” off the ground rather than the standard 48” with deference

to club membership.  Temporary removal of fencing on court 4 will allow for a pass-thru, and

after a study of how this effects play on court 4 a final decision will be made over the summer

The revised permit has been completed and is ready to go to the City.  Approval should occur

and can take up to 15 working days to have returned to the Club

Staff Report:

KJ reported concerns from some members about the increase in guest fees this summer.

The board agrees that the increase to $10 is fair market value and would like to stress to

the membership that family night on Fridays throughout the summer is only $10 for a

  visiting family

Tennis programs are getting started with good attendance, and the members seem quite

excited to have Adrian head up the tennis program

Swimming is starting to get organized, all coaches have been hired

Committee Updates:  Tabled until the April Board meeting
