Meadows Club Board of Directors Meeting - July 21, 2009

Board Members in attendance: Richard Leddon, Erik Boye, Kirk Jamison, Ann Goldfarb, Dee

Meeting called to order by Richard

No public participation

June 16, 2009 meeting minutes amended and approved

Staff Report:

KJ reports that club has less expenses and more revenue to date from last year

Maintenance issues are being handled on an "as needed" basis

There are still concerns about non-members showing up and using the club, this

is something that KJ and staff will continue to address

Committees:

Swim: The swim season is winding down with prelims occuring this week, and finals

on Saturday, July 25. The end of season banquet will be held on Sunday, July 26.

Members have continued to comment on how well home meets have gone, and how

the kids have done a great job in cleaning up afterwards. Lessons are winding down,

as well.

Tennis: Clinic participation continues to be strong, with Adrian projecting higher than

expected numbers. KJ and the Board will discuss compensation changes if necessary

There are still concerns about Junior Tennis members dropping in without signing up,

and not showing up when signed up for clinics. KJ will discuss with Tom and Adrian to

determine worth of charging additional fees for drop in versus advance sign up.

Social: Nothing new until end of season party

Membership: Kirk is continuing to work on changes to membership classifications, the

Board feels strongly about developing a "Mission Statement" that defines what the

Meadows Club is and should be in the future. Board members are asked to write a

short paragraph as to what their duties are to the Board, and what their vision for the club is

Finance: Dee reports that income is less than expected, but this is due to 2nd quarter

billing, and revenue not yet reported, and is not problematic

Grounds & Facilities: Erik reports that nothing new is happening, but a decision on the

pass through to the back courts is being worked out
